Double coat that skin with some moisturizer. With the temperature change the skin starts to lose it’s moisture and will start to suck up any liquid foundation you put on the skin. The result is dry flaky skin with a dull look. So bump up the moisture especially through the fall/winter months!

Stain those lips!

Stain is such a sexy look. It gives the impression that you have been sipping red wine all day sitting at a patio in Paris. Now that’s the look you want! A great way to create this look is to take a deep plummy-red lipstick and dab it on the lips, then blot with a tissue and add gloss if you desire… the perfect fall look.

Less touch up’s, add primer!

By adding a face primer before applying your make up, is a great way to prevent alot of touch ups through out your day. This is especially great for the oily skinned ladies.

False eye lashes!

I know, everyone is always so nervous to apply on their own false lashes, but with a little patience you can do it all your self. The most important thing is to make sure that the glue has aired out for about a minute or so, once you have applied it to the lashes. From there make sure that your chin is tilted towards the celing and eye’s are pointing down towards the chin in the mirror. You will find that the eye will become perfectly straight and so much easier to apply on.

The liquid eye…

A tip to get a perfect liquid eye line is to use an angle brush for application. It will give you more stability when creating your envisioned line. MAC cosmetics sells one. #266 angle brush. It is a must have staple for your make up kit.

Remember to take your time and start from the outter side of the eye towards the innner, getting a little softer as you go along.

Conceal those bag’s!

For those who don’t get enough sleep, party too much or genetically have crazy bag’s, here is a tip for you. Use a pink or peach tinted concealer under the eye area, rather than a yellow or olive one. Then set with a pressed powder in your skin colour. Also, by adding a dark eye liner to the top eye lids will lift the eye and take the focus off the lower areas.

The secret to the most natural cheeks!

Before applying your blush it is important to tap on your brush, and yes that’s right you must use a brush, before you apply to the cheeks. Then place your brush on the apples of the cheeks and blend upwards. Using a shimmery highlighter at the temples of the face will give the illusion of a higher cheek bone and therefore creating a more contouring look. But, don’t over shine, a little goes along way.

A great tip for keeping your lips fresh and perfect is to apply a thin layer of lip conditioner first, then add some pressed powder in your skin shade over top.

A lip liner is what will help to shape the lips and keep the colour on all day.
